Hide what shouldn't be shared
Screenshots and photos often show more than you meant to: a name in a chat, an email address, a card number, a child's face, a car's number plate or the house number behind someone. Drag over each part to cover it, then save a new copy.
Black box, pixelate or blur?
- Black box is the safest choice for text, numbers and anything that must not be read.
- Pixelate uses large blocks and adds random noise, so the original can't be rebuilt by guessing. Use it for faces and plates when a black box would look harsh.
- Blur pixelates first, then smooths the result. It looks softer but hides just as much as pixelate.
A light blur from a phone editor can sometimes be reversed, especially on text. These effects throw the original pixels away instead.
Questions
Is my image uploaded?
No. It's drawn and edited in your browser.
Is the location removed too?
Yes. The saved image is a fresh picture with no GPS, camera or date details.
Can I edit the boxes after I save?
No. The saved file has the areas burned in. Keep your original somewhere safe if you might need it.
