Dataset risk reviewer

Choose quasi-identifier columns in CSV or JSON data, count matching groups and review rows with rare combinations. Analyze and export locally; results are not anonymity certification.

Up to 8 MiB, 50,000 data rows and 128 columns. Cells up to 64 KiB. Data stays in this tab.

Open a file to review combinations of quasi-identifiers.

Find rare combinations in a dataset

A person's age range, postal area and job can be identifying together even after their name is removed. Choose the columns someone could use for that kind of match. The tool groups identical displayed values and flags rows whose group is smaller than your chosen threshold.

Values are compared exactly, including capitalization and spaces. JSON numbers and booleans are converted to text; missing values and null become blanks. The review does not infer identities, search other datasets or automatically generalize your data.

Group size is one review aid

A group of five in this file does not mean five possible people in the wider world. Sensitive attributes, direct identifiers, external records and repeated releases can still expose someone. This is not anonymity certification or a legal assessment.

The flagged-row export preserves every original column for those rows. Review it before sharing. CSV cells that could be interpreted as spreadsheet formulas receive a leading apostrophe; JSON preserves their text without executing it.
