Google Keep import preview

Export your notes from Google Takeout, then preview what will be imported before anything is written. The preview is generated in your browser.

JSON files from the Keep folder inside a Google Takeout archive. Attachments are recorded as a reference list because the file itself is not part of the export.

Importing requires an unlocked vault. Create an account or sign in first.

One-time secrets

A one-time secret is a paste with a single view. Use it for passwords, licence keys, or connection strings that should not sit in an inbox.

Image metadata, explained

Photos often carry EXIF data: the camera model, the time, and sometimes GPS coordinates. Re-encoding an image in the browser writes a fresh file, so that metadata does not survive the trip.

What re-encoding cannot do

It cannot remove what is visible in the picture. Blur or cover a face, a plate, or a document before you publish the file, using the redaction tool on the image page.

Do these tools collect anything?

The paste and image tools work on your device. Only a link you explicitly create is stored, and it holds encrypted content.

Why does the Keep import need an account?

Importing writes notes into your encrypted vault, and the vault key exists only in the browser. Signing in first loads that key so the notes can be encrypted properly.

Can I use these tools on a phone?

Yes. Paste, secrets, templates, and the image tools all work in a modern mobile browser, including iOS Safari and Chrome on Android.
