Stack trace cleaner

Replace common home and project paths, IP addresses and email addresses in stack traces. Keep frame names and line numbers for troubleshooting.

Up to 2 MiB and 50,000 lines. Common home and project roots, valid IP addresses and email address candidates are replaced. Frame names and line numbers remain.

Optional. Paste the exact prefix, such as your project directory. Up to 50 prefixes; each must be 3 to 1,024 characters. Path matching ignores letter case.

Error messages, request data, hostnames and usernames outside paths can remain. This tool does not determine which application values are private.

Paste a trace to begin.

Keep useful frames without a home directory

Stack traces can expose a local username, project directory, email address or server IP alongside the file and line number needed to debug an error. This cleaner replaces common Windows, macOS and Linux home paths and several common project roots. Function names, frame order and line or column numbers remain.

Add the project prefix you use

There is no single layout for project folders. Add an exact directory prefix when automatic matching does not cover yours. Prefixes are matched without regard to letter case and replaced with a project marker. Up to 50 prefixes are supported, each 3 to 1,024 characters.

IP and email detection uses address patterns. It is not a complete log sanitizer. Request bodies, session values, hostnames, arbitrary usernames and private information inside an error message can remain. A trace may also contain source code that needs a separate review.

Review before reporting a bug

Paste UTF-8 text or open a text file up to 2 MiB and 50,000 lines. The cleaner makes a local text copy and does not contact an error-reporting service. Check the preview, then copy or download it for your report.
